3 page essay on respect

Police Officers are well respected members of the modern society we live in, and are vital to the growth of the community. In addition to Police Officers being adults, they are deserving and should be granted respect, especially from students. Associating the police with ANY word other than their entitled role is a form of disrespect. To maintain a working society it is vital to have some degree of law and order. While there is a fine line between a police state and a human rights model, in either type of society a policing force is required so that the citizens will adhere to the laws created by elected govenment. Police must be respected or else our near perfect society will fall into utter chaos. Without repect towards police officers we cannot live in a civilized society. Police deserve respect because they are serving the public. They put their lives in danger for our's and try their best to maintain law and order, safety, and support for all citizens in a community. With their job, comes responsiblity and specific actions that must be carried out at times. Treating an officer in any inappropriate manner, such as using demeaning terms like po-po , is completely unacceptable. For instance, if you were a police officer carrying out your duties and some kid used derogative names for the title of your occupation, you'd probably be quite upset. As would any person in any other career. Police should not only be respected for their duties, but because they have an authoritive figure. Officers are entitled to arrest people and even take their lives if need be. Calling them names, or disregarding their authority is a violation itself. There is no need to use inappropriate behaviour around non-authoritive citizens, and ESPECIALLY not around Police Officer's, who have more authority then most. In conclusion, it doesn't matter whether you are a Police Officer or not. A.

Podgor Stetson University College of Law 2001 Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics and Public Policy, Vol. 15, No. 1, 2001 Abstract:      The point of this essay can be summed up in the following set of propositions: that the cultivation of professional values - certain attitudes and habits of heart that are thought critical to the practice and culture of the profession - is essential to the education of lawyers; that the cultivation of professionalism necessarily entails the nurturing of a sense of professional self-conciousness and constructive introspection, and an attitude of respect and responsibility towards others - what some would call caring; that law schools can go a long way towards.
God has made us male and female, equal in nature but not in temperament. God has designed a man and a woman to join their lives to create new life in harmony between themselves and God. He has created men and women different so that, in marriage, they can complement one another to beget new life, protect it, and putting their trust in God, show their love for Him in doing their best to follow His plan. Thus one man and one woman through marriage become the vital life giving force within a society and nation in which they participate with others in completing God's plan in their lives and the life of the nation. God created Adam first; then he created Eve from the flesh of Adam to be a companion for Adam. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God they became aware of their nakedness. Adam was to take on the role of provider and Eve was to bear and raise children and be a helper to Adam. Through the many millennia up to our time men and women have struggled with their roles. In many cases through this time, women have not been treated with the respect and honor which God has intended. In our own time there is a struggle between the plan for men and women authored by God and a secular notion promoted by those who wish to deny God's role in the actions of humans beings. These so-called progressives are trying to make people, and especially our young, to accept the falsehood that the only difference between men and women are in their genitals. To understand the difference between men and women we have to explain their differences in terms of their fallen state. Let us imagine an experiment involving groups of men and women. Let us imagine that a group of men are put together in a room where they are asked to converse with one another for a certain period of time. The result is that the conversation tends to center around sexual activity.  When the same experiment is tried with.
In every context, there are certain values that must be observed if peaceful co-existence is to be achieved. In today’s world, social interactions take place everywhere. In institutions of learning, for instance, students continually interact with each other, as well as their teachers and other staff. At home, interaction cannot be avoided, unless one lives alone. Similarly, in the workplace, managers place more emphasis on team work to facilitate the timely achievement of organizational objectives. Even the simplest form of interaction, which is the relationship between friends or spouses, calls for a strict observance of certain morals and values. These values range from honesty and co-operation to mutual respect. Although all of them are crucial to a successful interaction, it has become evident that respect is of paramount importance. The major reason why respect is core to a relational development is embedded in the fact that in every situation there is some sort of relational hierarchy, whether express or implied. In other words, at any given level of a relational environment, there has to be someone who is above the rest in terms of authority and responsibility. In employment, there has to be a supervisor or manager to whom everybody else is subordinate. Likewise, family units have a head, who conventionally is the man. In classrooms, the teacher is superior and commands the respect of his/her students. Equally, there are class heads or school captains who must be obeyed and respected by the other students. There is an old adage, that respect is earned. This statement is particularly common in marriages or romantic relationships. Marriage and relationship counselors often have to mediate between spouses who have quarreled or even fought. In this age of the independent woman, there is the contention that both husband and wife are equal in marriage. The wife.
