After reviewing the steps in the prewriting phase of writing an essay, I would have to say that prewriting is a good way for us to train our thoughts on what we would like to write. This is the phases were we brainstorm ideas, gathers relevant information or research, and free writes on the topic we have chosen to write about. This is the phase were we give our content, tone and audience some thought. We need to double check that the information we are writing about fits both the assignment and Unformatted text preview: our intended audience. Once we have gathered all of our information or research we need to organize it in a way that will interest our audience but also organize them how they should go in our paper.
