essays on smile

“the expression one wears on one’s face is far more important than the clothes one wears on one’s back.” – Dale Carnegie This is a fun post about smiling. Why fun? Well let’s face it, when we’re smiling we are normally having a pretty good time! If you were to ask someone who knows me to describe who I am, undoubtedly one of the first things that they will say is that I am a continually happy or ‘smiley’ person. This is something that I always laugh about as it has been mentioned many times throughout my life! The good thing is I’m not complaining as a smile has a tonne of benefits to your overall wellbeing. Smiling is number 2 on the list of the 43 Habits of Absolutely Happy People. If you can turn smiling into a habit, then you can turn happiness into a habit let’s explore! 1) You’re More Attractive! Do you want to be more attractive? Simple. Smile! Research has proven that we find others more attractive when they are wearing a smile. This one is a no-brainer, but for the sake of helping it land in your mind, think about someone who you know and think of first when they are down, sad, angry, frustrated, whatever it may be. How attractive are they? Now picture them simply with a smile on their face. What does this do to their attractiveness? If you took the time to do this exercise, I’m sure you would have easily found the smiling version much more attractive, and maybe this even made you feel a happy tingle inside yourself! This leads to my next point. 2) You Can CHANGE THE WORLD! A Smile is Contagious! Have you ever been in a sour mood and then someone has come along with a huge smile, some laughter or in a really good mood? Perhaps a baby that just looked up at you and smiled? How did this make you feel? When the person you are talking to or the people that surround you are smiling, you won’t be able to help but smile! A smile has special powers. You can calm.
Foreword by Anton Skorucak, Editor of PhysLink The beginning of my adventure happened several months ago in a small, friendly bookstore on the LA's famous Sunset Boulevard. In the maze of massive, wooden book shelves, I found the science section and began browsing through the books. Wonderful and mystic smell of wood and books was slowly opening my appetite for something special and different. A book found it's way into my hands, 'Dance for Two' by Alan Lightman, curious I thought to myself and began reading the foreword. 'From the beginning, I found myself writing of science, my first passion and profession, sometimes of the hard facts of science but more often of the human texture and whimsy, the lived part of science. Science, for me, was the most rigorous and extreme expression of order in the physical world. Yet the desire for that order, and often the means to declare it, were human, oddly nestled against the emotion and wild flight of the human world. Where those two worlds met seemed a subject for literature. And I was partly propelled by something I'd learned from watching my colleagues: Scientists often make their greatest discoveries just at those moments when they follow their intuition instead of equations. In other words, when they behave the least 'scientifically.' That secret, known to historians but rarely to scientists, became the hidden thread running through my essays.'(- Alan Lightman) I found myself sitting on the floor of the bookstore for the next couple of hours reading this little curious collection of essays. Time and space lost their meaning. I left the bookstore with a unique feeling, as my dear friend would say, a feeling one has when discovering his or her soul mate. After reading couple of other Lightman's books (Einstein's Dreams, Good Benito, etc.) I realized that I did not discover Alan Lightman and his books that day in the.
What is a smile? Everyone has different types of smile but all smiles sent out the same message. A smile is   a way of showing your happiness, love, friendliness, appreciation and kindness. There are   some people who are always smiling, which shows that they are always happy or at least trying to be happy. Did you know? It takes less muscles to smile than to frown! If you don’t want wrinkles and want to look younger, you have to smile more and frown less. A smile is infections, if you have a friend who always smiles, you also feel like smiling like the saying goes, “An apple a day, keeps the doctor away.” I would say, “A smile a day will keep a tear away.” A smile can change a person’s mood. If an angry person gets a smile from a loved one or a stranger, it can change the person’s anger. A smile costs nothing but it can change someone’s life. When you are feeling down, seeing someone smile can lighten your day, can lift your heart and make you feel better and probably have a better day ahead. Yet a smile cannot be bought, begged, borrowed or stolen for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is shared. Some people are too tired to give you a smile. Well, why can’t you give them one of yours?   Because no one needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give. Well, there are many things in a smile. It might only be a short word but it means a lot if we remove the letter ‘S’ from the spelling of smile and it becomes a mile. So after knowing the importance of smile, everyone of us should make sure to give our million dollars smile as of ten as possible.
Everyone wants to have happiness and smile, but life is difficult, so have real happiness and smile also is very difficult thing. Because of the difficult life, some happiness and smiles you see it¡¯s not true. At this time, I¡¯m starting to think how to get the real happiness and smile. Rich? When you were a child? Or have some entertainments? Does rich person really happy? Most of us want to be rich person, and think that if I rich I can do many things that I want to do, so I will happy. But in fact I think most of rich person are not really happy, their life are not as good as our thinking. Their have big problems, like heritages and loneliness. It¡¯s really difficult to have real friends when you are rich, you will think that does he really want to be my friend or just want my money. For example, in the poem ¡°Richard Cory¡±, he is really rich men. ¡°And he was rich-yes, rich that a king-¡± the writer said in the poem, but he ¡°Went home and put a bullet through his head¡±. So rich can not make you happy. Children always smile, they singing, dancing, are they really happy? In fact children also have problems. Like the child in poem ¡°The Chimney Sweeper¡±, the little boy has to be a Chimney Sweeper, he doesn¡¯t want to. Because he always singing and dancing, so parents think he can do this work. ¡°And because I am happy, and dance and sing, they think I have done me no injury¡¡± the parents even don¡¯t know they hurt their child. A child can not be always happy too and the smiles on their face are not real one sometimes. When you have some entertainments you will smile, does this is really happy? Sometime does not. Like in ¡°We Wear the Mask¡±, the slaves in this poem always singing when they are working, others think they are happy, because they are singing have smile, but in fact they feel ¡°With torn and bleeding hearts we smile, and mouth with myriad.
MBA aspirants may be asked to write essay before GD & PI. Today, you will read Essay on:  Peace begins with a smile Mother Teresa once said, “Peace begins with a smile. Smile five times a day at someone you really don’t want to smile at; do it for peace”. Is it true that love and compassion comes rushing to one person once he smiles? Not necessarily.  However, one can reduce the level of hatred he has towards the other person by smiling. Smiling is contagious. Once you smile at a person, it results in the other person smiling back at you. So, at least at that instance, there are no moments of hatred, and momentarily, you don’t have negative feelings towards the other person. This is how the journey towards peace begins.  When there is love and compassion, there is no room for hatred. Today, countries fight with each other for power and resources. However, they don’t work on internal problems that are affecting the citizens of the country.  If, instead of promoting hatred for other countries, a nation provides food and shelter for its citizens and eradicates poverty, the world would be a better and a happier place to be in.  Smiling is powerful. It can change millions of lives for the better. Instead of using weapons, countries should have peaceful talks and they should show love and concern for other nations by smiling with their hearts.  A smile is not a superficial gesture that starts and ends on the face; it comes from the heart and touches the heart of the recipient. Love and peace can work wonders.  Mother Teresa and Mahatma Gandhi, two advocates of peace, have proven to the world that a smile goes a long way. And a smile has never hurt anyone. When you smile, you embrace the other person with open arms, and you are one step closer to establishing and maintaining cordial ties.  Read Essay writing Topics and stay informed at MBA Rendezvous .
