Then, add an example and some elaboration to each topic sentence, so that each becomes a paragraph about a goal. Then, go back and write an intro paragraph of 4-5 sentences to explain the theme and philosophy for your education at this point in life. End that intro with a thesis statement that names the 3 goals.Write a conclusion paragraph that discusses the 3 goals thoughtfully and goes on to discuss your future a little. Every person wants to achieve the goals set at the beginning of a new school year. Yet, as time progresses it can be all too easy to fall back into bad or slack habits, such as procrastination, cramming and poor researching, sending the original goals to achieve well right out the window. However, how would you do if you know which steps to take to achieve success in your school career? Amazingly most likely, because planning your goals and dedicating yourself to achieving them will bring about results that you truly want. Edit Steps Choose specific, realistic goals or even one single but very important goal. When it comes to choosing your goal, ensure that it states precisely what it is that you want to achieve. Don't generalize and say something as broad as 'I want to do well in my exams.' Instead, hone it down. For example, try saying 'I want to study hard through taking notes every lesson and reading through them each night after classes, and doing this will result in me getting higher grades in my exams.' The exactitude of your goal involves both what you want to achieve and identifies the effort that you will put in to achieve it. Simply setting a goal without acknowledging the effort required won't be successful, whereas understanding what needs to be done to get to your goal will be. Write down your goal. Having a hard copy of your goal makes it real. Once it becomes a physical entity and not just a thought going through your head, it has form, substance and reality for you. Ways to express your goal might be: Write it in a journal you'll be keeping all year ahead. Write it on a poster and stick this above your desk or somewhere else that you look at each day. Or, you can say your goal out loud each morning to remind yourself of what you want and what you're working for. This can be helped by writing it on a sticky note and attaching it to a mirror or some.
I have three main goals I wish to achieve in the next couple of years as a University of Phoenix student. My first goal is to finish my degree in Business Administration/Major in Management, my next goal is to improve my writing skills and my last goal is to excel in class. I will explain the reason why I chose this particular set of goals and how am I planning to achieve them. My first goal is to finish a degree because I always wanted to get a college degree but never actually managed to finish what I started. This is the third college I go to and this time I am going to do everything in my power to finish my education with University Of Phoenix. I was satisfied with the way my career was going and too comfortable with my current rank and responsibilities. In the service, I am the equivalent of an office supervisor. My pay is all right but not good enough to retire comfortable with. I never put too much thought about my future and only worried about doing my job and keeping my Commanding Officer and customers happy. It wasn't until two friends of mine retired that made me realized the value of good education and how far it can take me in life. My friend Ernie spent 26 years in the Coast Guard. He was very good at his job. He drove ships, he saved many lives, and on his last tour of duty, he supervised a division with more than 30 service members. He retired with lots of military honors but only had a high school diploma. He relied heavily on his experience and thought that his military record alone would land him a good job once he retired. Unfortunately, that was not the case. He is retired for over four months now and he is still looking for the nice job he always wanted, in the meantime, his working a part-time job in Wal-Mart. My other friend Dave retired with 20 years in the service. Just like Ernie, he was a great supervisor and also retired with military.

There are many things I hope to accomplish during my senior year. Graduation is my top priority because if I do not graduate my future will be in jeopardy. Clubs and extra activities are very important for college acceptance. I hope to get certified in the areas in which I have been training for. Getting into college so that I can be successful is the main goal in my life is. I hope to get accepted to a college or university by the end of my senior year. My schedule will be busy but I will hopefully have a future.      Grades are one of the most important factors of my high school career. My grade point average and my SAT's determine what college I go to. They determine my effort at high school. I must do whatever possible to keep my grade point average above 3.0. My GPA currently is ok, but if I could increase it by just.2 I would be much better off. Grades are very crucial for getting acceptance to college. They are one of the major things that colleges look at to accept you (or so I have been told). So I will keep pushing myself so that my grades will increase this year, making it possible for me to hopefully enter a better school then I can right now.      My extra activities are important so that I can get accepted in to colleges instead of other people. I have been training to get certified in computer repair; I hope to finally get certified this year. Work experience and the laptop club are activities that I joined in hope of filling up space on college applications, giving an extra edge (something to make me better then others). Any computer or business related extra activities would help me.      College is the main goal of my life. It.
